Terms of Service

Effective July 22, 2026

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and Clothesline, LLC (“Clothesline,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your use of the Clothesline app and related services (the “Service”). Clothesline is an app for coordinating outfits with friends for shared events. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the consent of a parent or guardian. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

2. Your Account

  • You are responsible for your account and for keeping your password secure. Tell us right away if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
  • Provide accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date. One person per account; accounts are not transferable.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. The Service

Clothesline lets you create events, invite friends through links you choose to share, post outfit photos, comment, and vote. Events are shared group spaces — content you post to an event is visible to the other people in that event. Joining an event requires a valid invitation from its host.

4. Your Content

  • You own it. You keep all rights to the photos, comments, and other content you post (“Your Content”).
  • License to us. So we can run the Service, you grant Clothesline a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display Your Content solely to operate, provide, and improve the Service. This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except where content has been shared with others and they have not deleted it, or where we must retain it for legal reasons.
  • You are responsible for it. Only post content you have the right to share, including photos of other people. We do not claim ownership of Your Content and we do not sell it.

5. Acceptable Use

Our Community Guidelines are part of these Terms. When using the Service, you agree not to:

  • Post content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, threatening, sexually exploitative, or that infringes someone else’s rights, including privacy and intellectual-property rights.
  • Impersonate any person, misrepresent your affiliation with anyone, or access another person’s account without permission.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service, probe or circumvent its security or access controls, or access it by automated means without our written permission.
  • Use the Service to spam, advertise, or solicit others without our consent.

Clothesline is made for friend groups. If content or behavior is reported to us and violates these Terms, we may remove the content, restrict the account involved, or both.

6. Other People’s Content

Other users are responsible for the content they post. We do not endorse user content and may remove content that violates these Terms, but we are not obligated to monitor it. If you see something that shouldn’t be on Clothesline, contact us at the address below.

7. Clothesline’s Property

The Service itself — including the app, its design, logos, wordmark, and software — belongs to Clothesline, LLC and its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

8. Feedback

If you send us ideas or suggestions, you agree we may use them without restriction or compensation to you.

9. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from within the app. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, if we reasonably believe your use creates risk or legal exposure for us or other users, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections 4 (license survival), 7, 8, and 10–13 survive termination.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, Clothesline disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Clothesline, LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, goodwill, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim arose. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Harris County, Texas, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing a claim, please contact us — most concerns can be resolved quickly and informally.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective” date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice within the app. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
