Community Guidelines
Effective August 12, 2026
Clothesline is a small, warm space for getting dressed with your friends. Events are group spaces built on trust, and these guidelines exist to keep them that way. They are part of our Terms of Service and apply to everything you post and do on the Service.
1. Post Your Own Content
Share photos and words you have the right to share. If someone else is in your photo, make sure they are okay with it being posted to the event. Do not post content that infringes another person’s copyright, trademark, or privacy.
2. Be Kind
Comments and votes are for hyping your friends up and helping them decide what to wear. Harassment, bullying, hate speech, threats, and content that demeans people based on who they are have no place on Clothesline.
3. Keep It Safe
- No sexually explicit content, and never any content that sexualizes or endangers minors. This results in immediate removal and may be reported to authorities.
- No content that promotes violence, self-harm, or illegal activity.
- No impersonating other people or misrepresenting who you are.
4. Respect the Group Space
What happens in an event stays in the event. Do not screenshot or reshare other people’s looks outside the group without their permission. Only join events you were actually invited to, and do not share invite links beyond the people the host intends.
5. No Spam or Misuse
Do not use Clothesline to advertise, solicit, or spam. Do not scrape the Service, probe its security, or access it with automated tools without our written permission.
6. Reporting and Enforcement
Every look and every comment carries a report option. Open the … menu beside it, choose what is wrong, and send. Every report is read by a person, and we get back to you as quickly as we can.
The same menu lets you block the person who posted. Blocking hides your looks and comments from them and theirs from you, in both directions, and takes effect immediately. Blocks are listed under Blocked accounts in Settings, where you can undo one at any time.
You can also reach a person at hello@theclothesline.app. Depending on what we find, we may remove content, restrict or terminate the account involved, and, where the law requires it, notify authorities. We may update these guidelines over time; material changes will be noted in the app.
